New guy here I have a few gear questions. If anybody can shead some light on airsoft battle equipment, please do so.

1)Do people prefer to use a helmet (pasgt replica) or do people not wear helmets?

2) Eye protection? Are safety googles sufficient or is it required to wear a paintball mask? Does anybody have pics?

To wear a helmet or not is personal preference. Some of us wear helmets, some not. My wife prefers to wear helmets, I sometimes do, sometimes don't. The plastic replicas are just fine...plus they are lighter than the real ones of course. That's what we have.

Most airsofters wear just goggles, as long as they meet the ANSI rating for impact. If you play at Panther Creek Paintball, you are required to wear a paintball mask for their insurance reasons. Don't go out and buy one if you don't have a mask already. They have loaners.

Where is this Panther Creek place? Y'all shoot airsoft or paintball there?

I have a plastic one for sale...

I tend to use the real one, but after a few games, I don't wear it. Not sure on the winter times. I can probably wear it longer. The heat does not help a lot.

Panther Creek is going towards Huntsville.

I am trying to get in touch with my friend in Snook and to see if we can airsoft on his land, but he has not given me an answer yet....

Helmets are the one thing where I will always get the real deal. Its heavy, its hot, but I love my pot
