Hey Guys,
I'm a Sam State student living in B/CS. I got into airsoft while doing the US Sea Cadet Corps and when I took charge of a division, really tried expanding and creating legit teams. Biggest hassle was getting teenagers to come up with cash to get decent guns. Even I had a number of cheap-o AEGs and springers. My pride possession ended up being my KWA G19 which served me well.
Go figure, right before I got out, I spent $300 on an ICS MP5A4(fullstock?). Well, after my first year of college I come back and my gun seems FUBAR. I let a former cadet to check it out and he said it had a broken piston. My Glock also fell victim to a plastic piece failing. I found the part, ordered it, was sent a completely wrong part and just didn't care enough afterwards. I've found said part on Evike.com for $12 again. Which brings me to the reason I felt compelled to post.
I was wondering if there was anyone who has experience in fixing airsoft guns, particularly the ICS MP5 and KWA G19 that I could get help from. I have no experience in dissecting them and would like to have in all, my $500 investment in airsoft last a little longer.
Parts I know I need are:
G19 (copied from part description):
KWA/KSC Airsplane / Blowback Unit for KWA / KSC Gas Blowback G / M series
ICS MP5:
A piston (probably set)
And butt plate. (it was somehow broken while I was away.)
A few friends and I are wanting to go out some weekend (once we all acquire weapons) and let off some steam. I figured this would be the best way to get in contact.
